Some colleges will award college credit to high schoolers if they score high enough on the final exam. However, high school is where Khan Academy really shines. There is so much available that I found myself double-checking that everything really was free. We became fans of using Khan Academy for homeschool immediately.

One of the best ways to see all the perks that Khan Academy offers is to put yourself in the student’s shoes. Using Khan Academy as a station is perfect for classrooms that only have access to a handful of computers everyday. Khan Academy also has an app that can be used on a tablet. For students who struggled to stay on the correct website, I use an iPad and the guided access setting to make sure that students do not leave Khan Academy to surf the internet. Education is at a crossroads right now, where the choice is between clinging to old practices and theories or redefining learning. Coronavirus pandemic has forced schools around the world to close, prompting a chaotic scramble to move online and find a way to somehow finish out semesters. My daughter wants to be a teacher, so she will likely take child development and volunteer at an elementary school while still in high school.
The pandemic has forced millions of teachers, parents and students to try an unplanned and unexpected experiment in homeschooling. Many kids find his way of teaching to be just what they need to get over the hump. You should also encourage students to search for help on any skill, at any time, as a way of taking responsibility for their own learning before coming to you to review a skill.

It allows for a level of personalization that is not found in traditional programs. The ability to tailor the program to your child’s needs is very important.
